2·3 months agoDoes lemmy.world use cloudflare?
Also im confused, is there a reason people dont like cloudflare? Other than eating up caching for the entire internet of course?

2·3 months agoIts perfectly fine not to. If you like the old twitter like interface and folling “people” rather than “topics” (like lemmy/piefed does), then you would like GTS. If the answer is no, keep using your fediverse that you like.
But yeah its relatively unique instructions specifically for Yunohost is what makes this article a good one.
Hope you have an awesome day!

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•How I self-host my ebooks and audiobooksEnglish
1·3 months agoNgl i just have an old ass file server and drag/drop things there. Then copy/paste the ebook/audiobook over to the offending device. Boom done.
Same. Its somewhat useful on some very small scripting or tasks…but its mostly just to try out a new model or two. Its not really useful for anything big.
I will have to say…even my tiny models are about as good as Chatgpt/Claude/etc… which makes me think about how much people are spending on tokens regularly. I was able to get the same kind of python script started with my local tiny model that was comparable to the newest Claude code offerings.
The screenshot really should have a cat photo on it.
Looks great! GL!

3·4 months agoI wonder if someone is trying out an AI or something and seeing the results. Then deleting. More evidence will pop up eventually.

2·4 months agoIt sticks around in other software just FYI. Maybe lemmy should have something that admins can do? Maybe something super admins can re-instate if a mod states should be un-deleted? I dunno.

5·6 months agoI feel you. HD space (and everything else) is sooo expensive. I have an old spinning drive for my peertube instance just cause is easy to source.
